Projects
General Services Administration:
Prior to joining Def Method, Andrew worked at 18F, an office in the General Services Administration that partners with federal agencies to improve how government serves the public through technology. There, he developed the Open Forest online permitting product with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, supported a redesign of the Thrift Savings Plan website to better serve federal employees, and led the customer engineering function for cloud.gov, a development platform for agencies to host websites, APIs, and other applications. While at GSA, he also helped mature the product management chapter, led the organization’s Agile community of practice, and presented at the Code for America Summit and the O’Reilly Open Source Software Conference.
Other Recent Work:
Andrew recently helped scale the Department of Veterans Affairs API platform to support digital tools for veterans, led projects with local governments as a volunteer for the U.S. Digital Response for COVID-19, and consulted to help grow an educational technology SaaS organization.
