Driving organic growth by balancing user needs and business goals
Prior to joining Def Method, Taitum led product initiatives to grow organic traffic for lead generation websites in the competitive higher education vertical. She conducted research to understand user needs and pain points, analyzed competitors and SEO data to identify trends and opportunities, and analyzed web analytics along with business metrics to prioritize initiatives with the potential to grow not only traffic, but also revenue. Synthesizing findings from these methods, she created a roadmap and collaborated across content, marketing, design, and engineering teams to execute, driving significant business growth and improving user experience.
Saving time and reducing errors with an email marketing data management system
With the goal of helping an internal team scale their email marketing efforts, Taitum spearheaded the development of an email contact data management system. First working with marketing to understand user pain points and goals, then partnering with engineering to understand existing systems, she designed a solution that eliminated tedious, error-prone processes and supported over 2,000 emails sent monthly. After gathering feedback and building alignment with stakeholders, Taitum managed the development process, including testing and validating new features with users.
